The BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine (GL) has just got a new top-end M Sport Pro variant at Rs 62.6 lakh (ex-showroom). This particular variant is offered with just the turbo-petrol engine and packs stealthier looks and additional features. Here’s a look at where the new variant stands in the lineup:
Variants |
Ex-showroom Price |
330Li M Sport |
Rs 60.6 lakh |
320Ld M Sport (Diesel) |
Rs 62 lakh |
330Li M Sport Pro (New) |
Rs 62.6 lakh |
As seen in the table above, the new top-end petrol variant costs Rs 2 lakh more than the already well-equipped base model.
Exterior Design Changes

The top-end variant of the BMW 3 Series GL now looks more stealthy, courtesy the blacked-out design touches. For starters, the grille is finished in black and the Adaptive LED headlights have a smoked effect that makes it look sporty. No changes have been made to the profile, while the rear gets one small change: a blacked-out diffuser.
Interior Design Changes And Features

Spotting the changes on the inside is an even trickier affair as there is only one update: a blacked-out headliner and plastic trim on the A-, B-, and C-pillars. In the lower variant, this is finished in beige. Apart from that there are no other changes when it comes to design and tan-coloured upholstery.
There is also the presence of a partial ADAS suite, with features such as blind spot assistant, lane change assistant, and parking assistant. To know what the BMW 3 Series GL comes packing with in terms of comfort and convenience features, head to our in-depth first drive review.
Engine Option

No mechanical changes have been made over the base variant. It continues to be powered by a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine belting out 258 PS and 400 Nm, sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission. In max attack, the 3 Series petrol sprints from 0-100 kmph in just 6.2 seconds.
Rivals

Though a minor update, the M Sport Pro bolsters the 3 Series lineup and helps it put up a tougher fight to its rivals: the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Audi A4.
