Tata has revealed the futuristic Nexon facelift, which gets a host of updates inside out, as well as in the powertrain departments.

The 2023 Tata Nexon facelift is set to be launched on September 14. Tata has updated the car with new features, a futuristic design and new transmission options. Tata is offering the Nexon in four variants: Smart, Pure, Creative and Fearless. Pre-launch bookings are open and the model has arrived at dealerships. If you had your eyes on the upcoming model, here are 5 things you need to know about it:

Exterior Design 

The 2023 Tata Nexon gets a futuristic design with sharper lines. The front gets a clamshell bonnet with slim LED DRL/ indicator combo lamps and the main LED headlamps positioned down below in the bumper. The rear also gets an update with a full-width lightbar connecting the two LED V-shaped tail lamps.

Interior Design

The Tata Nexon has received a completely revamped interior. This includes a new dashboard, updated touch-based AC controls, and a new two-spoke Curvv-inspired steering wheel with illuminated Tata logo. Depending on the variant, the car comes with a different upholstery theme.

Tata Nexon owners will be able to take the benefit of features such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, an air purifier and a wireless phone charger.

Standard safety features on the SUV include six airbags, ESP, hill hold control and ISO-FIX child seat mounts. 

Engine Options


Tata has carried forward with the 1.2-litre unit that develops 120 PS and 170 Nm. Customers are spoilt for choice with the transmission options on this - there is a 5-speed manual (new), a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed AMT and a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox (new). 

Meanwhile, the 115 PS 1.5-litre diesel unit comes with a choice of 6-speed manual or a 6-speed AMT.  

Expected Price And Rivals


The Tata Nexon will rival the likes of the Maruti Brezza, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Nissan Magnite and Mahindra XUV300. With a new gearbox as well as some new features, the new Nexon is definitely expected to command a premium over the outgoing model. This means, Tata could price the Nexon in the 8 lakh to Rs 15 lakh price bracket.
