Here’s All That The Updated Royal Bullet 350 Will Bring

The sole surviving member of Royal Enfield’s old-school UCE engine will finally join the J-series platform

The 2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is finally coming on August 30. Now, while that’s still a week away, the numerous sightings of the test mules mean we already know quite a lot about it. So while we wait for the iconic bike’s comeback, here’s everything we know about it:

Design

It was first spied over a year ago and for starters, we already know that it’ll look familiar to the current-gen Bullet 350. Similar to what it did with the Classic 350, Royal Enfield will likely give it subtle changes here and there but not tinker around with its overall design. Its macho looks were its biggest selling point, so it’s definitely a good thing for its target audience.

Dug-dug

But what’ll interest prospective owners the most is obviously the exhaust note. The official teaser revealed that the Bullet will still have the dug-dug soundtrack that it’s always been known for, something that’ll delight the Bullet fanboys.

Engine

Powering the new dug-dug will be the J-series 349cc air-cooled motor making 20.2PS and 27Nm, which we’ve already seen on the Meteor 350, Classic 350 and Hunter 350. We found it to be quite a characterful and enjoyable engine, especially on the Classic, and expect it to make its way on the new Bullet in the same state of tune. Here’s a closer look at its engine.

Price

Royal Enfield will likely place the next-gen Bullet 350 somewhere between the Hunter 350 and Classic 350, in terms of pricing. The current model costs Rs 1,93,679 (on-road Delhi). So, we expect the new one to cost around Rs 1.80 lakh(ex-showroom).

Rivals

Once here, the Bullet 350 will rival the likes of the Honda H'ness CB350, Jawa and Benelli Imperiale 400.

With the new-gen Classic 350, Royal Enfield modernised all the right aspects without compromising on what it always was: a laidback British single-cylinder roadster, and we hope the brand does the same with the new Bullet as well!
