Tata Motors has teased the Kaziranga Edition that will be offered with the Punch, Nexon, Harrier, and Safari in the coming days. The special edition SUVs pay homage to the one-horned Indian rhinoceros that’s facing the threat of extinction and is an animal endemic to the Kaziranga National Park.

To honour the one-horned Indian rhinoceros, the special edition SUVs are finished in a bespoke Grassland Beige shade. Like the Dark Edition SUVs, all the chrome bits have been blacked out for a sportier look, while the alloy wheels come in gunmetal grey. Also, there is a one-horned rhinoceros badge on the front fender to pay homage to the species.

Inside, all the SUVs, based on the Punch Kaziranga Edition, are expected to get an all-black cabin with light gold highlights on the dashboard and seat cover.

These Kaziranga special editions are expected to be limited to the top-spec trims. So expect them to come loaded with all the bells and whistles that are found in their respective standard models.

There will be no changes underneath the hood. The Punch gets a 86PS 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol while the Nexon gets a choice of a 120PS 1.2-litre turbo-petrol or a 110PS 1.5-litre diesel engine options. On the other hand, the Harrier and Safari are offered only with a 170PS 2-litre diesel engine.

Tata will announce the prices of the Kaziranga Edition in the coming weeks. So stay tuned for more updates.
