Chennai and Hyderabad still have the longest waiting period
- Mumbai, Pune have the lowest waiting period.
- There’s still a considerable waiting period in southern states.
- Jawa has ramped up production at its Pithampur facility.
It has been a year since we got our first taste of the new-gen Jawa. However, there are many enthusiasts out there still waiting to get their hands on one after placing an order for one as the waiting period for the motorcycles have been frustratingly long. Now though, after a year, the waiting period has come down to 2 months in some cities if you book one now. Nope, we are not fooling around. Go on, take a look at the table below:
Jawa, Forty Two Single-channel ABS:
Pune |
2-3 months |
Mumbai |
3-5 months |
Delhi |
8-10 weeks |
Bengaluru |
5-8 months |
Chennai |
5-6 months |
Hyderabad |
4-8 months |
Jawa, Forty Two Dual-channel ABS variants:
Pune |
3-4 months |
Mumbai |
4-5 months |
Delhi |
2-3 months |
Bengaluru |
5-8 months |
Chennai |
4-5 months |
Hyderabad |
4-8 months |
The reduced waiting period is partly due to Classic Legends’ decision to ramp up production of the Jawa and Jawa Forty Two. However, customers in Chennai and Hyderabad still have to wait for around six to seven months to get their hands on the bike. Now, Jawa has also added the Perak to its lineup. Will it command a long waiting period like the other two? Well, only time will tell. Setting its high waiting period aside, the Jawa is a fantastic motorcycle to ride as we found out here. Is it better than the Royal Enfield Classic 350 and the Benelli Imperiale 400? Well, here’s how that panned out.
