No it is not choke as majority people believe. It is an additional brake system to hold the scooter while parking in a slope

That is choke which is used to start when the bike is too cool or not getting start with few kicks.

I buyed hero duet 6 years ago.To be honest it is my wrist decision to but this 2 wheeler.Not reliable 2 to 4 times a year he want mechanic.
