EXCLUSIVE: Here’s A Closer Look At Royal Enfield Scrambler 650

The new spy shots reveal key details about the upcoming motorcycle

We have got our hands on exclusive spy shots of the upcoming Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 just a day before its sibling, the Super Meteor 650’s debut at EICMA 2022. The new spy shots reveal interesting details about the upcoming bike.

Despite the test mule of the Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 sporting heavy testing equipment, it looks production-ready. Look closely and you can spot the rotary-style switchgear that will be shared with the new Super Meteor 650

Even the monopod instrument console would be shared with the scrambler’s cruiser sibling. The offset instrument console could also be paired with the Tripper navigation pod which could be offered as an accessory.

Doing justice to the scrambler moniker are bits like the braced handlebar, wire-spoked rims with Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres and the unique side panels. Furthermore, Royal Enfield has even equipped the bike with USD front fork, which so far has been only spotted on the bikemaker’s upcoming 650cc cruisers. And going by the images, it has better ground clearance than the other 650s, hinting at the suspension being long-travel jobbies.

The Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 will be powered by the marque’s 648cc air-/oil-cooled parallel twin engine belting out 47PS and 52Nm. But, unlike its siblings, this bike gets a two-into-one exhaust system.

Royal Enfield’s upcoming scrambler is expected to debut by June 2023 and could be priced at Rs 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom). Its closest rival would be the Moto Morini Seiemmezzo 6 ½ Scrambler in our market.
