New Mahindra Teasers Reveal Details About The Bolero Neo

• The Bolero Neo is likely to launch later this month.

• It gets a completely redesigned front fascia and minor tweaks to the rear profile.

Mahindra has put up a few short videos to give us a taste of what the upcoming Bolero Neo has in store for us. Here’s what we know is coming in the Bolero Neo and what’s different from the TUV300.

Since it is essentially the second major facelift for the TUV300 -- which was discontinued during the transition from BS4 to BS6 norms in April 2020 -- it only makes sense to compare the Bolero Neo with it. First up, the car has a new face. It now sports a six-slat chrome grille up front, flanked by sleeker headlamps featuring wrap-around DRLs. A redesigned bumper and fog lights round off the front end. However, it seems there are no roof rails this time around, but could be offered as an option.

We also catch a glimpse of what’s inside. New additions include an instrument cluster (borrowed from the Thar), and an armrest for the rear seats. Mahindra also allowed us a sneak peek at the 5-speed manual, which was offered in the TUV300 as well.

Under the hood, the Bolero Neo will utilise the BS6-compliant version of the TUV300’s powertrain -- a 1.5-litre diesel engine that produces 100PS and 240Nm. In addition to the standard 5-speed manual, it will also likely get an optional AMT once again.

The Bolero Neo is expected to launch later this month and will take on the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Ford EcoSport, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Nissan Magnite, and Renault Kiger.
