Mahindra will launch the Bolero Neo on July 15, 2021. The SUV is, in essence, the facelifted TUV300 and is billed as a premium alternative to the Bolero. Vehicles have already reached showrooms, with a handful of them accepting unofficial bookings.
First up, the SUV gets a new chrome slatted grille, redesigned halogen headlamps and front bumper. Changes to the side and rear profiles are minimal, save for the black plastic strip on the side and the spoiler. Interestingly, Mahindra has done away with the roof rails, but we expect the carmaker to offer them as optional buys.

Inside, the SUV will now utilize the Thar’s instrument cluster but with different backlight. Apart from that, it retains the same dashboard design, colour scheme, and touchscreen infotainment system as the TUV300 (without Apple CarPlay and Android Auto). However, there’s cruise control this time.
Other possible features include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted audio controls, power windows, electrically adjustable ORVMs, and remote locking. Passenger safety should be taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD, and rear parking sensors.

The SUV will be propelled by the TUV300’s 100PS 1.5-litre diesel engine (now BS6-compliant), driving the rear wheels via a 5-speed MT.
The Bolero Neo will likely be priced from Rs 8.5 lakh, putting it in the same bracket as the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Ford EcoSport, and Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza.
