The upcoming 2025 Kia Carens facelift has been spotted undergoing testing in India with heavy camouflage. With refreshed styling and added features, the Carens will be tweaked in line with Kia’s current design language and might come with few feature additions. Furthermore, an EV based on the Carens is also expected to debut next year along with the ICE counterpart.
Kia Carens Key Highlights
Features: The Kia Carens gets a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system equipped with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8-speaker Bose sound system, a digital driver’s display, a wireless phone charger, 64-colour ambient lighting, a sunroof, ventilated front seats, and an air purifier. On the safety front, the Carens comes equipped with six airbags, ABS, all-wheel disc brakes, rear parking sensors, a dash camera, electronic stability control, hill start assist control, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Engine: The Kia Carens gets three engine options, a 1.5 -litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 PS which can be opted with a 6-speed manual, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 160 PS mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 116 PS mated to a 6-speed manual, an 6-speed iMT and also a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The Kia Carens is 4540 mm long, 1800 mm wide, 1708 mm tall, and has a 2780 mm wheelbase.
Rivals: The Kia Carens competes with the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and Maruti Suzuki XL6. It’s also an affordable alternative to the Toyota Innova Crysta and Toyota Innova Hycross.
Variants: Kia offers the Carens in nine broad trims: Premium, Premium (O), Prestige, Prestige (O), Prestige Plus, Prestige Plus (O), Luxury, Luxury Plus, and X-Line. The MPV comes in ten colour options: Glacier White Pearl, Clear White, Sparkling Silver, Gravity Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, Intense Red, Imperial Blue, Pewter Olive, Moss Brown and Xclusive Matte Graphite (Exclusive to X-Line).
Safety Rating: The Carens has scored a 3 star safety rating in NCAP crash tests.
