Tata Tiago XTA Launched At Rs 5.99 lakh

• Tata Tiago XTA fetches a premium of Rs 50,000 over the XT. 

• AMT option is also available in the XZ and XZ+.

• Powered by an 86PS/113Nm 1.2-litre petrol engine that can also be paired with an optional 5-speed manual.

• The Tiago rivals the Maruti Suzuki WagonR and the Hyundai Santro.

The facelifted Tata Tiago celebrated its first anniversary in January 2021, and since then, the carmaker has introduced a few additions for the hatchback. The first was a limited-edition model, and now the AMT gearbox that has found its way into the second-to-base variant, the XT. That said, you will have to shell out a premium for the automatic transmission option. Here’s the updated pricing: 

The addition of the XTA means that all variants -- XZ, and XZ+ -- barring the base XE can be availed with an AMT automatic option. As for the extra dough you’ll have to shell out, the XTA costs Rs 50,000 more than its manual counterpart. This is roughly the same premium that you get between the manual and automatic XZ and XZ+. It also makes the XTA the most affordable automatic option for the Tiago by Rs 47,000 over the XZA. The Tiago is powered by a 86PS/113Nm 1.2-litre petrol engine that can be availed with a 5-speed manual transmission or AMT option.

Features in the XTA are identical to its manual counterpart with 14-inch wheel covers, a ConnectNext infotainment system, Bluetooth, AM/FM USB connectivity, steering mounted controls, adjustable front headrests, as well as electronically adjustable ORVMs. Safety kit includes dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking assist and display, seatbelt reminder and follow-me-home lamps.  

Being the second to base variant in the Tiago lineup, it misses out on features like bigger 15-inch alloy wheels, Android Auto and Apple Carplay connectivity, automatic climate control, rear parking camera, cooled glove box, voice commands and a rear defogger. 

The Tata Tiago rivals the likes of the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R and the Hyundai Santro.
