Mahindra XUV300 Interior Spied; Gets Cruise Control, Sunroof, Steering Modes

Spy shots reveal features like auto headlamps, auto dimming mirror, infotainment system and more

Update 14/02/2019: The Mahindra XUV300 has been launched at Rs 7.90 lakh, ex-showroom India. Here's why it is priced at a premium as compared to the Brezza, Nexon and EcoSport.

Mahindra XUV30

  • Gets auto start/stop function (micro-hybrid).
  • Also gets a sunroof and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
  • Auto headlamps also on offer.
  • Infotainment system seems to be from a Marazzo and also gets steering modes.

Mahindra’s upcoming XUV300 has created quite a buzz in the market and easily ranks among one of the most anticipated launches of the year. We already know that it will have the longest wheelbase in its segment and perhaps the most spacious cabin too. And now, new spy shots have emerged revealing some of the features the XUV300 will offer.

For starters, it gets an instrument cluster similar to that of the XUV500 with a digital MID screen.

To the right of the instrument cluster sit controls for traction control, start/stop (Mahindra’s micro-hybrid tech) and parking sensors. We can also figure out that there are controls for automatic headlamps and wipers on the steering wheel spokes.

The buttons for cruise control and the infotainment system are mounted on the steering wheel on the right and left panels respectively.

The spy shots also reveal that the XUV300 will get a sunroof unlike a lot of its rivals and will be offered with an auto-dimming rearview mirror as well. The infotainment system seems to be the 7.0-inch unit from the Marazzo which is flanked by vents for the climate control system below which sit the controls for the same. On the panel just below the touchscreen, there is a button on the extreme right to toggle between steering modes. This feature seems to have been taken from the Ssangyong Tivoli which comes with three steering modes - normal, comfort and sport.

The XUV300 seems quite well equipped to take on rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon and the upcoming Hyundai QXi. It will likely be priced between Rs 8.0-Rs 12.0 lakh (ex-showroom). The unofficial bookings, however, are already underway at a few dealerships.
