The more powerful motor from the 42 2.1 has now made its way to the Classic and the Forty Two
Classic Legend-owned Jawa Motorcycles has updated its Classic and Forty Two models with a revised engine first seen on the 42 2.1. The 293cc single-cylinder engine now puts out 27.33PS and 27.02Nm, 0.82PS more than before. All this is thanks to the addition of Jawa’s cross port tech, a repositioned lambda sensor, and a claimed crisper throttle response.
Along with these, the bikes get a revised seat pan, a firmer suspension tune, a deeper exhaust note and a trip meter.
For these upgrades, the bike maker has introduced nominal price hikes for both models along with steeper hikes for the 42 2.1 and the Perak. Check out the latest ex-showroom Delhi prices in the table:

The 42 2.1 and the Perak, despite becoming significantly more expensive, see no updates at all. India’s most affordable Bobber now costs over Rs 2 lakh, while the Jawa 42 2.1 is inching closer to it. Nevertheless, we enjoyed riding both bikes and feel they’re priced just about right (and not outrageously expensive).
