Toyota Innova Crysta Touring Sport Launch On May 4

The Touring Sport makes the Innova look sporty via cosmetic updates while remaining mechanically similar

Toyota Innova Crysta Touring Sport

The Toyota Innova is about to get a sporty makeover in the form of a Touring Sport edition. Scheduled to be launched on May 4, the Touring Sport will have slight cosmetic updates on the outside to make it look different from the standard Innova. The Touring Sport edition is available in Thailand as the 'Toyota Venture' and the Indian version will be similar to it. It will be available only in the captain seat variants of the MPV but most likely with all the engine options.

In terms of the changes, the first new thing you will spot on the Innova Crysta Touring Sport is the alloy wheels. The dimensions and the design of the 16-inch alloy wheel remain similar to the current one but it will get an all-black finish. Complementing the black wheels is a black body cladding which runs all around the car. In the front, Toyota has added chrome garnish near the grille and the end of the bumper, on the added cladding. There is chrome treatment all around the changing including the sides and the rear. Another change at the rear is that the area between the two tail lamps has also been painted black. Other than that, the car gets two-tone ORVMs and that's pretty much it.

Inside, the features remain the same as the regular Crysta but there are some reports saying that the Touring Sport will only be available in a six-seater captain seat variant. The current lineup of the Innova only comes with a seven- or eight-seater variant. In terms of features, you will get the standard ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, 7-inch audio system with navigation and black leather seat upholstery.

So, in short, the Innova Crysta Touring sport is Toyota’s way of pleasing the buyers who want to look sporty while driving an MPV. The Innova Crysta still remains the highest selling Toyota in the country and the Touring Sport looks to further widen its appeal.
