Features: Toyota hasn’t revised the list of creature comforts offered on the outgoing model as this one continues with an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, eight-way powered driver seat, ambient lighting and keyless entry with button start. Its safety kit comprises up to seven airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, front and rear parking sensors, and hill-start assist.

Engine: Propulsion duties are carried out by the 150PS/343Nm, 2.4-litre diesel engine, which sends power to the rear wheels via a five-speed manual transmission. No petrol engine is offered with the facelifted Crysta.

Rivals: The facelifted Innova Crysta rekindles its rivalry with the Kia Carens, Maruti Invicto, Mahindra Marazzo, while being a more affordable alternative to the new generation Innova Hycross.

Variants: There are five broad trims on offer: G, GX, GX+, VX and ZX trim. In terms of colour options, the Toyota Innova Crysta gets five hues: Super White, Attitude Black Mica, Platinum White Pearl, Avantgarde Bronze Metallic and Silver Metallic.

Toyota India has launched a new mid-spec GX+ variant for the Innova Crysta, priced from Rs 21.39 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s based on the GX trim and can be had either as a 7-seater or a 8-seater. This new variant comes packing with comfort and design enhancements, such as a rear parking camera, diamond-cut alloys, auto folding ORVMs, faux wooden trims, and premium fabric seats.No changes have been made to the mechanicals as it continues to be powered by the 150PS 2.4-litre diesel engine, teamed with a 5-speed manual transmission.

A simple cabin, good comfort for seven occupants and supremely reliable diesel engine sums up the Toyota Innova Crysta. It might feel old among newer competition, but it still gets the basics spot on, making it likeable even today.
