Nissan has officially announced that the bookings of its upcoming Kicks SUV will begin from Friday (14 December, 2018). The Nissan Kicks is the latest SUV from the Japanese carmaker and is due to be launched in January 2019. The Kicks will be offered with a 2-year/50,000km warranty. The carmaker also announced that the first Nissan Kicks has rolled off the assembly line at the company’s plant in Chennai where it will be produced for the Indian market. Nissan has also divulged a few details about the Kicks. It will feature convenience features like a 360-degree view camera, a touchscreen infotainment system and cruise control, among others. The Japanese carmaker also confirmed that the Kicks will come with the same powertrain options that are also available on the Renault Captur.

It will be available with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and the frugal 1.5-litre K9K dCi diesel motor. The petrol engine dishes out 106PS, while the diesel produces 110PS of max power. When launched, the Kicks will rival its cousin, the Renault Captur, and the segment leader, the Hyundai Creta. It is likely to be launched at an introductory price ranging between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 14 lakh.
