About Renault Captur

Renault Captur is premium SUV from the French Automaker Renault which is offered in the price range of Rs 9.99-13.88 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The principal highlight of Renault Captur is its stylish demeanour which is unlike anything that we have witnessed on Indian roads. Slip inside the cabin and you will be delighted with quality and layout of the interiors. Dual-tone seats have their own charm and the same is true for the sporty Steering Wheel with mounted controls. In fact, interiors of Renault Captur have the feel of a cockpit which goes very well with the premium theme of the car. Renault Captur comes powered by a 1.5-liter petrol and a 1.5-liter diesel engine capable of putting out 106PS/142Nm and 110PS/240Nm respectively; both motors mated to 6-speed manual transmission. In India, the Renault Captur is up against the likes of Hyundai Creta and Jeep Compass among others.

Renault Captur Overview

Renault India has announced that the Captur SUV will be updated to comply with BS6 norms ahead of the April 1, 2020 deadline. The carmakerwill pull the plug on the diesel variants of the Captur in 2020 as the 1.5-litre diesel engine will not be updated to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms. Hence, the Captur will be a petrol-only SUV once updated to BS6.

  • Please down windows on both sides so that you can hear it well and listen to others..stop a/c or atleast blower..Renault is smart in making a sub 2 metre sensors also they have rear side sensors when volkswagon cars stops 2 meter from obstacle...also captur higher varient has reverse camera ...clarity less...bu will do ..in nights too...please check sensor switch on dashboard.

Q. Which is best Capture or Kicks?
  • Both are having same platform but personally i belive Renault Captur is worth buying due to its amazing ride quality, handling and balance. Its cornering stabilty is very good. Generally all these factors are very difficult to get in a single vehicle, either you will get good handling or stability. Having huge 210mm of ground clearance still its body roll is very minimal becaze of its less height. Suspension is just awesome on highways you will feel like going on butter, but low speeds you will find little noise. But overall its excellent vehicle.
  • In features kicks is good but it have abody roll
  • Both share same Engine specs and are on same Parent Brand segment.Better to test drive and choose based on drive quality

  • Hi , according to me Tiago is no way comparison with captur or nexon as a segment . I think if you need a SUV then its between captur or nexon ...., so basically need to decide on segment of car first. Suv or hatchback or sedan . All the best
