Q. I am planning to buy kicks 1500 petrol. Am confused especially when I compare it with Nexon. Which is a better buy. I drive around 60km a day

Answer

We appreciate your choice. Both the cars are good in their own forte. Nissan Kicks is a car for those who are looking for a properly stylish compact SUV. It’s for those who appreciate quality and are either buying an additional smaller (relatively) car for the family or want to upgrade their drive experience from an already premium sub-compact vehicle as the Kicks doesn’t feel big despite being amongst the largest cars in its segment, though its striking youthful design and premium quality interior work in its favour. Tata Nexon, on the other hand, continues to be a sensible small SUV for the family. It does become the default choice if you want space for five and their luggage, and a comfortable ride. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision for a better understanding of performance and comfort. Now which one to go?

Answer

The Nissan Kicks would be a brilliant pick if you are looking for an SUV with premium design inside-out, powerful turbo petrol and CVT automatic option and brilliant ride quality. The Nissan Kicks has the potential to be an exciting alternative in the compact crossover segment - it looks exciting, has well-appointed interiors, has one of the most balanced ride characteristics in its segment, and has some segment-first features like a 360-degree reversing camera. The new turbo petrol means it's also the most powerful in the segment. However, it does have a few other small niggles, like the blanked out steering controls and the missing 60-40 split for the rear bench but it makes up for this with good highway driveability and excellent ride quality. You may pick the Nissan if you prefer better drivability and ride quality.

Question 11

Q. Nissan Kicks 1.5L XV Hyundai Creta E PETROL/DIESELMaruti Suzuki XL6 ZetaFord EcoSport Titanium 1.5L PETROL/DIESELKia Seltos HTE PETROLAmong the above SUVs/MPV costing around 10 lakhs ex-showroom which would be the best value for money?

Answer

All cars are good enough. Selecting one will totally depend on your requirements and priorities. The Nissan Kicks seems to be doing a lot of things right. Its striking youthful design and premium quality interior work in its favour. It’s got most of the contents to be a great urban SUV, but there are some downsides too. Considering both the pros and cons leads us to the conclusion that the Kicks is a car for those who are looking for a properly stylish compact SUV. It’s for those who appreciate quality and are either buying an additional smaller (relatively) car for the family or want to upgrade their drive experience from an already premium sub-compact vehicle. The Hyundai Creta is clearly an impressive compact SUV. It is spacious, comfortable, loaded with features, easy to drive and offered with powerful petrol and diesel engine options. Even though E is the base variant of the Creta, its features list doesn’t reflect that. It’s decently equipped and if you are on a tight budget and really want the new Creta, the E variant is perfect for you. It’s also good for those looking to do a lot of aftermarket customisation on their new car, especially the music system.Though Maruti XL6 gets rugged SUV-like design, it doesn't compete against any of SUVs directly. It is a 6-seater MPV, it gets captain seats that mean more comfort in the second row which is enough for 6 footers too. The 1.5 petrol is quiet, refined and tractable. Automatic transmission also available in top-end Alpha trim. It would be a great pick if you are lookiing for a spacious 6-seater car for family and majorly drive in city only.Ford EcoSport is a Sub 4-meter compact SUV. The success of the Ford EcoSport can be attributed to its packaging. It offers great engines, good interiors with an appealing design and that very likeable SUVish stance. If you are looking for a fun to drive car with great handelling and rear seat space is not your priority, you may go for it.The Seltos impressed us So much that all we could complain about was a lack of under-thigh support and the rather stiff ride quality. The Kia Seltos’ base variant is equipped with all the necessities. It doesn’t feel lacking in any department and the fact that it undercuts the Creta petrol and is closely priced to the Nissan Kicks makes it a sensible option. If it’s a petrol SUV you’re after, we would suggest you stretch your budget a bit. But for diesel buyers on a tight budget, the HTE variant makes a lot of sense. You may compare all these cars accoridngly. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.

Question 12

On the other hand, Nissan Kicks offers a premium interior quality, it gets higher ground clearance, comparatively better feature list and better safety features too. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
