Toyota has revealed the facelifted Yaris which is also known as the Vios in Philippines. The updated Toyota Yaris now sports a premium face that looks similar to a Lexus. Other upgrades include redesigned alloy wheels, tail amps and a new bumper. Inside, the Yaris gets a revised upholstery design.
New features include telematic-based connected features. Other features like cruise control, steering mounted audio controls, cruise control, powered driver’s seat, a multi-info display and a rear sunshade have been retained. Safety features include seven airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors as well as electronic stability control.
The India-spec model could continue to utilise the 107PS/140Nm 1.5-litre petrol engine with either a 6-speed manual or CVT. Prices are likely to start from Rs 9 lakh, putting it in the ballpark of the VW Vento, Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Skoda Rapid, and the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
