Here’s Your First Look At The Smallest Harley Before Its Public Debut

The Harley-Davidson X350 is based on the QJ Motor SRK350

(Update: Harley-Davidson has launched the X 350 in China. Check out what it packs in our launch story.)

A video of the upcoming Harley-Davidson X350 has surfaced online, a day before its global debut is scheduled to take place. This model will be used for Harley-Davidson Training School, and replace the older Street 500 motorcycles.

This is not the first time that the bike has been spotted though. But, for the first time, we have pretty much all the details about the motorcycle. For starters, the X350 has spawned from the alliance between Harley-Davidson and QJ Motor and is based on the Chinese bikemaker’s SRK 350 naked motorcycle.

So, the Harley-Davidson X350 comes with the same trellis frame, and tubular swingarm as the SRK. Even the USD fork and monoshock suspension setup has been retained and even though the dual petal discs up front and the single petal disc at the rear are , but, the alloy wheels are different.

In terms of design, you won’t see any similarities to the SRK 350. The baby Harley flaunts a circular LED headlight with a DRL surround for the bottom half. Its tank, side panels and even the taillight are unmistakably Harley-Davidson.

It is likely that Harley-Davidson won’t be tinkering with the 350cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin that makes around 35PS. Leaked documents have also revealed that the bike weighs around 195kg and has a top speed of 143kmph.

Now, will Harley-Davidson’s smallest bike make it to India? Well, the X350 is unlikely to debut in our market considering that the American cruiser giant has joined hands with Hero MotoCorp to develop a small-capacity motorcycle for India.
