Have A Look At The Brand New Bajaj CT 125X

A closer look at this affordable and rugged 125cc commuter

Bajaj CT 125X

Bajaj recently launched the CT 125X for a price of Rs 71,354 (ex-showroom Delhi). So what is the country’s most affordable 125cc bike all about? Let’s check it out through a series of detailed images:

Front

The CT 125X gets a rather rugged design language along with some retro appeal. You have a round halogen headlight unit with a V-shaped LED DRL on its front cowl. The retro elements can be seen in the relatively dated instrument cluster and the lack of any LEDs (except the DRL) on the motorcycle.

Engine

Powering the Bajaj CT 125X is a 124.4cc air-cooled engine capable of 10.9PS and 11Nm. The motor is paired to a five-speed gearbox. It’s the same engine that we’ve seen on the Discover 125.

Why The X?

What makes the new 'X' trim stand out is the use of rugged elements such as chunky tank pads, a ribbed seat cover, luggage carrier and underbelly protector plate.

Instrument Cluster

The CT 125X gets a twin-pod analogue instrument cluster which houses the speedometer, odometer and fuel gauge. You also have a USB charging socket for added convenience.

Underpinnings

Underpinnings on the CT 125X include a telescopic fork with gaiters, along with dual shock absorbers.

You get an optional disc brake at the front along with a standard drum one at the rear. The 17-inch alloys are shod with an 80-section front and 100-section rear tyre.

At Rs 71,354, the CT 125X is the most affordable 125cc bike in India. With that price tag, features like an optional disc brake, USB charging and a five-speed gearbox are impressive. It rivals bikes like the Honda Shine and Hero Super Splendor.
