For this month Ola has topped the charts with the maximum amount of registrations. This could be credited to the launch of the more affordable Ola S1 e-scooter. In related news, Ola sold about 10,000 S1 e-scooters in the very first day.
Okinawa has displaced Hero Electric for the second position in the EV registrations, that is despite selling/ registering fewer two-wheelers than the previous month’s 8,554 units.

Apart from that, the other EV manufacturers have more or less maintained their place in the chart. The Ather numbers in the table are registration figures, however, the e-scooter manufacturer has also shared the actual sales figures of the e-scooters from September 2022. That said, Ather has registered the highest ever sales of 7,435 units in September with a 247 percent Year-on-Year growth. This could be because of the launch of the updated 450X Gen 3 and 450 Plus Gen 3.
What should be noted here is that these are Vahan registration numbers and not the exact sales numbers for September. There can be two-wheelers that were sold in August-end and were registered in September. Also, Vahan records registration from 34 states out of the 36 in India, skipping out on Lakshadweep and Telangana.
