One of the best selling cars in India and has been since its launch in the late 1990s. The Wagon R has gone through two generations since then but has mainly stayed about the same due to its great success in both the private and the taxi sectors. The M aruti Suzuki Wagon R is an entry-level hatchback that goes up against the likes of cars like the Hyundai Santro. The current generation of the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R sticks to its boxy appeal while adding a touch of modern design into the mix. The new Wagon R appeals to the masses with its large chrome grille and sleek bumper design which houses two fog lamps. The Wagon W also has a V taper in the bonnet and the grille which can be seen also on the rear tail gate. The Wagon R, especially in its slightly higher avatars also gets a set of wheel caps, which add to its utilitarian appeal. There is also a chrome accent piece on the tail gate. The new Wagon R is also slightly larger than its older car with more space for passengers on the inside. On the interior front, the new Wagon R is spacious and has a large dashboard which feels soft to the touch. That said, quality on certain other cars like the Hyundai i10 is of a slightly higher degree. The Wagon R also gets cupholders, a rear parcel tray, a cell phone cubbyhole and storage below the driver’s seat. The older car’s multiple storage spaces though, including the large storage below the glove box has been removed. The Wagon R features a good looking speedometer console with a digital readout for fuel levels. The seats are quite comfortable and the Wagon R offers enough comfortable seating for five passengers especially for inner city travel. In terms of technical specifications, the Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is powered by the K10B engine. This three cylinder BS4 engine makes 68PS of peak power and 90Nm of peak torque. The engine feels good when driven sedately but does feel stressed closer to the red line. The Wagon R’s engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The engine returns mileage of 20.5kmpl. The Wagon R is also the most popular CNG car in India with a major chunk of sales attributed to the CNG variants. The Wagon R goes up against the likes of the Hyundai i10 and the Datsun Go Plus. The Wagon R is priced between Rs 3.5-4.5 lakhs.

Bro. I advise you to not to go for CNG. Such long ques of Ola, Uber and other taxis at CNG pumps that you will be fed up. can explore Kwid or Datsun in this budget.
