Defender Key Highlights

Features: The Defender features 14-way heated and cooled seats, 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, cruise control, ambient lighting, a head-up display, a three-zone climate control, and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. Its safety features include ABS with EBD, six airbags, traction control, electronic stability control, tyre pressure monitoring system, cornering braking control, blind spot assist, adaptive cruise control, rear pre-collision monitor and a 360-degree camera. Four customisation packs on offer: Explorer, Adventure, Country and Urban.

Engine: The Defender is offered with five engine options, which include a 300 PS/400 Nm 2-litre petrol engine, a 300 PS/650 Nm 3-litre diesel engine, a 297PS/640Nm plug-in hybrid 2-litre petrol engine, a 400 PS/550 Nm 3-litre petrol engine, a 425 PS V8 petrol engine, and a 525PS/625Nm V8 petrol engine. It is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission with an all-wheel drive system. The Defender 90 three-door model measures 4323mm in length, 2008mm in width, 1969mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2587mm. The Defender 110 5-door version measures 4758 mm in length, 2008 mm in width, 1967 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3022mm. Lastly, the Defender 130 is the largest of three, measuring 5099mm in length, 2008mm in width, 1970mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3022mm.

Rivals: It rivals the Jeep Wrangler and Mercedes-Benz G Wagon while being an off-road-capable alternative to the BMW X7, Volvo XC90, and Mercedes-Benz GLS.

Variants: The Defender is available in three configurations: 90, 110 and 130. It can be further had in five broad trims: SE, HSE, X-Dynamic HSE, X, and Defender V8. The Defender V8 is further offered in Carpathian Edition. The Defender 130 is available only in X, HSE and Defender V8 trims options and is also offered in a special Outbound edition. Colour options include: Fuji White, Pangea Green, Gondwana Stone, Eiger Grey, Tasman Blue Santorini Black, Hakuba Silver, Carpathian Grey, and Silicon Silver.
