Features: The BMW X7 is loaded with features like a curved display setup including a 14.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic glass roof, 5-zone automatic climate control, wireless phone charger, ventilated front row seats, head-up display, smartphone-based digital unlocking, connected car features, parking assist and a powered tailgate. Passenger safety is taken care of by 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, electric parking brake with auto hold, hill descent control, ISOFIX, a 360-degree camera and ADAS features.

Engine: The BMW X7 gets a 3-litre turbo petrol 6-cylinder engine that delivers an output of 381 PS and 520 Nm and a 3-litre diesel engine that has an output of 340PS and 700Nm. Transmission duties are carried by an 8-speed automatic that transfers power to all four wheels. With this powertrain, the SUV can sprint from nought to 100 kmph in 5.8 seconds. It has a claimed fuel efficiency of up to 11.29 kmpl. It measures 5181 mm in length, 2000 mm in width and 1835 mm in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 3105 mm.

Rivals: The BMW X7 rivals the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLS, Volvo XC90, Range Rover Sport and Audi Q8.

Variants: The standard BMW X7 is offered in three trims: xDrive40i M Sport, xDrive40d M Sport and XDrive40d DPE. Colour options include three monotone shades: Mineral White, Black Sapphire and Copper Grey. The base spec XDrive40i M Sport variant also gets a Signature Edition which is available in two exterior hues: Tanzanite Blue and Dravit Grey.
