The facelifted Kia Seltos has been spotted testing yet again, giving us a much clearer insight of its design updates. Expected to debut in 2022, this will be the first major update for Kia’s compact SUV. We expect it to come to India sometime in the second half of 2022.
Coming to the design updates, the facelifted SUV will still retain the Tiger Nose grille, albeit with larger honeycomb inserts for a more aggressive look. Its dual-tone alloys are also larger (possibly 18-inchers), and sport a new design. Additionally, the Seltos likely gets new vertically stacked (instead of horizontal) LED tail lamps connected by a red stripe.
Other expected design updates include updated LED DRLs (probably with a new motif), and redesigned front and rear bumpers, keeping it in line with Kia’s latest design language.
The Seltos could also get new features like select Advanced Driver Assistance Systems from the facelifted Creta, including forward, rear, and blind spot collision avoidance assist, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (for the 10.25-inch infotainment system).

Other features that will be retained include a touchscreen infotainment system, connected car tech, Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, automatic climate control, sound mood lighting, and cruise control. Passenger safety should be taken care of by multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, and electronic stability control.
Powertrain options are market-specific and Kia isn’t likely to tamper with them. In India, the Seltos get a 140PS 1.4-litre turbo-petrol, and 115PS 1.5-litre diesel and petrol engines. All three get manual and automatic transmission options,
