If Motorcycles Were Firecrackers…

This Diwali, we reimagine our favourite motorcycles as pataakhas

 Bikes as firecrackers

The festival of lights is around the corner, but is Diwali really complete without firecrackers? We at Zigwheels are zealots of firecrackers, but of a different kind. Yes, it's motorcycles we are talking about. Over the years, we have enjoyed the company of these pataakhas and this year, we figured it would be fun to reimagine some of these as firecrackers.

Rocket: KTM 390 Duke

That’s a no-brainer, right? Every time you unleash those 43 horses, you end up holding on to your dear life. No doubt, everyone calls the 390 Duke a pocket rocket.

Multi-shot cracker: TVS Apache RR 310
Just like with those fancy multi-shot crackers, the punches don’t end with the Apache RR 310. From riding modes to Glide Through Traffic Plus to the 5-inch touchscreen TFT display. And it definitely looks the part too, doesn’t it?

Atom Bomb: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Just like the little green bomb, the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is one explosive package. In its latest iteration, the bike gets preload adjustability for the front suspension as well, along with three riding modes, in addition to the Glide Through Traffic and SmartXonnect features introduced last year. All this for just Rs 1.25 lakh!

Sparkler: Hero Splendor
Diwali isn’t really complete without the little sparkly sticks, just like an Indian motorcyclist can’t have a conversation without referring to the Hero Splendor, a motorcycle that has topped the charts for being the best-seller in the country.

1000 Ladi: Royal Enfield Classic 350 (BS4 and previous versions)
Smiling already, aren’t you? The country fell in love with the ‘Dug Dug’ clamour from the long-stroke UCE 346cc, single-cylinder engine. Unfortunately, the stringent emission norms have silenced our country’s beloved pataakha.
