Four trims, three seating options and powertrains to choose from. And there’s tonnes of customisation options too
Bookings for the next-gen 2022 Range Rover have begun in India from today, and interested customers can book either online or offline. But the main info from that caught our attention was the price, which starts from Rs 2.32 crore (ex-showroom). Variant-wise prices are yet to be announced, but the new one starts around Rs 20 lakh more than its predecessor.
The 2022 SUV will be offered in the SE, HSE and Autobiography trims. A First Edition trim, based on the Autobiography, will also be available with a few extra bells and whistles, though it will be up for grabs only till the SUV completes its first year of production. You can also have it either in its standard or long wheelbase version, with four-, five-, or seven-seater options.
Then there are the three engine options. The entry-level one is the 3-litre petrol and diesel six-cylinder engines, both paired with mild hybrid tech for torque assist and improved fuel economy. However, if you prefer speed and power, then the BMW-sourced 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 should come in handy.
All engines drive all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. Take a look at the detailed specifications:
