Ducati’s flagship scrambler is all set to be launched tomorrow

Ducati India is all set to launch its second BS6-compliant bike in the country, the Scrambler 1100. The Ducati Scrambler 1100 is expected to be offered in both the Pro and Sport Pro variants here. Expect the bike to cost around Rs 12 lakh for the Pro variant and Rs 13.5 lakh for the Sport Pro variant (ex-showroom India).
The motorcycle is powered by a 1079cc L-twin air-cooled engine that churns out 84.7PS of power at 7250rpm and 90.5Nm of torque at 4750rpm under the base Pro guise. The Sport Pro model produces 85.65PS at 7500rpm and 88Nm at 4750rpm. Both variants will feature electronic aids like three-level riding modes, traction control, and cornering ABS.
The major differences between the old-gen Scrambler 1100 and the new bike is that the high-set exhausts are now stacked together on one side, apart from subtle bodywork changes and new colours. Ducati has equipped the Pro version with a 45mm Marzocchi fully-adjustable inverted fork and a preload and rebound-adjustable Kayaba rear monoshock. The Sport Pro is suspended on a 48mm inverted Ohlins front fork that’s fully adjustable, and a rear Ohlins monoshock, adjustable for both preload and rebound. Brakes include twin 320mm discs up front with Brembo M4.32 calipers and a 245mm disc at the rear.
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 will go up against the Triumph Scrambler 1200. The Scrambler 1100 is likely to be followed by the Multistrada 950. As far as the international launch is concerned, the new-gen Monster 821 and the Multistrada V4 are likely to debut later this year.
