Triumph Speed Twin Bike Latest Updates
Triumph India has launched the 2021 Speed Twin in India at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The motorcycle comes with more sophisticated underpinnings and puts out more power than before to justify the Rs 1.54 lakh premium over its BS4 iteration. Read all about it in our launch story.
Triumph has made small but useful changes to its sportiest Bonneville roadster: the 2021 Speed Twin. The updated bike has a more powerful and cleaner 1200cc parallel-twin engine that continues to put out a distinct British twin rumble. It makes 100PS at 7250rpm -- 3PS more than the EU4/BS4 model. While it continues to make 112Nm of torque, it is spread more evenly and peaks at 4250rpm, 500rpm lower. In fact, 100Nm of peak torque is available at revs as low as 3000rpm.
You also get a new 43mm Marzocchi USD fork, Brembo M50 monobloc calipers, and top-spec Metzeler Racetec RR tyres on the Speed Twin. These updates should enhance its cornering abilities which were already quite brilliant when you consider this is a retro motorcycle.
