The hikes are substantial and they put some scooters like the SXR 125 and SXR 160 in a range where they struggle to justify the exorbitant price tags that they carry. If you’re looking for a performance and feature-packed 125cc scooter, then the TVS NTorq 125 Race XP makes a lot of sense at Rs 89,211 (ex-showroom Delhi). In the 150cc category, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is now only Rs 466 more expensive than the SXR 160, offering a lot more performance, thanks to the Yamaha R15-derived 155cc liquid-cooled engine.
In a related development, China recently got a rebadged Aprilia Tuono 250S. You can read all about it here.
