The patrol force adds Hero Photon electric scooterss to its arsenal
Ladakh has gotten greener with Hero Electric partnering up with its police department. The EV manufacturer has presented the police force with a bunch of Photons, giving the people in uniform a more environment-friendly way to patrol the streets.

This coupled with the fact that Ladakh rolled out EV subsidies last month should encourage the use of these eco-friendly vehicles in such ecologically sensitive areas.
Powering the Hero Electric Photon LP is a 1.2kW BLDC hub motor that produces a peak power of 1.8kW and has a top speed of 45kmph. The Photon LP gets a single 26Ah battery pack, giving the scooter a range of 90km. 0-100 percent charge takes around five hours.
