Ather To Jointly Establish Fast Charging For Two-Wheelers In Karnataka

The MOU signed with Karnataka ESCOM will allow Ather to establish more than 1000 fast charging stations in the state

Ather Energy has signed an MoU with Karnataka’s ESCOM (Electric Supply Companies) in an attempt to improve the fast charging infrastructure in the state. According to the MoU, Ather will jointly establish more than 1,000 two-wheeler fast charging spots in Karnataka in order to provide an EV ecosystem to the users.
All the government agencies will be working with ESCOM to share their available spaces for charging stations.

Ather has been on a rapid expansion spree and just last year updated its fast chargers to offer an even better experience and be more durable. Now, Ather is planning to install as many as 5,000 fast chargers across India to its already 58 fast charging stations and around 300 fast-charging grid points arsenal.

Ather has also shared its proprietary fast-charging connector with other EV brands, in an attempt to build a sustainable charging infrastructure for the country.

Multiple states in the country have been working on increasing the demand as well as the convenience of using EVs via subsidies, waivers and more.

Ather has also mentioned its plans of increasing the total number of its stores to 600 cities across India, increasing production to 1 million units over the next three years, and last but not the least, developing new products.
