The Skoda Slavia, scheduled for launch in March 2022, will be offered in three broad trims: Active, Ambition, and Style. It gets a choice of two turbo-petrol engines: 115PS 1-litre and 150PS 1.5-litre.

The powertrains you get in each variant are exactly the same as the Kushaq. That means the 1.5-litre TSI engine is limited to the Slavia’s top-spec Style trim.
The Slavia’s 115PS 1-litre and 150PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines can be teamed with manual and automatic transmissions. The larger engine is the most powerful in its segment and comes with segment-first cylinder deactivation technology.

Bookings for Skoda’s upcoming compact sedan are underway for a token amount of Rs 11,000. It will be launched in March 2022 starting from Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom). This puts it in contention with the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, and the upcoming VW Vento successor (Virtus) and Toyota Belta.
