The first quarter of 2022 will be teeming with activity for Skoda India as it has two launches lined up -- the facelifted Kodiaq and Slavia. The former will be launched in January, and the latter in March. Deliveries of the made-in-India Slavia will begin in April. So it’s going to be a wait if you have had your eyes set on the Slavia.

You can book the Slavia online or via Skoda’s dealership network for a refundable token of Rs 11,000. Vehicles will start reaching dealerships in January, and test drives will begin from February. The Honda City-rivalling compact sedan will be offered in three trims: Active, Ambition, and Style.

The Slavia comes loaded to the gills with features, including a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, connected car tech, a single-pane sunroof, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, and an 8-speaker sound system with subwoofer.
Passenger safety is taken care of by up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors with camera, electronic stability control, and hill hold control.

The Slavia shares its 115PS 1-litre and 150PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines with the Kushaq. Like the compact SUV, both motors come with manual and automatic transmissions. The 1.5-litre mill, which gets cylinder deactivation tech, is the most powerful engine in its segment.
