Skoda has launched the Slavia Matte Edition in India from Rs 15.52 lakh (ex-showroom). This special edition of the sedan adds to the sporty appeal, thanks to the new matte paint job. It’s based on the Style variant, which has also been updated with a couple of new features.

Skoda Slavia Gets A Dose Of Sportiness With New Matte Edition details

The Slavia Matte Edition commands a premium of Rs 40,000 over the Style trim. For this extra amount, Skoda offers a matte Carbon Steel exterior paint shade along with gloss black mirror and door handles. Meanwhile, the fog lamp housing, window surrounds and grille comes with some chrome for bling.

Coming to the insides, the Slavia Matte Edition gets a familiar interior based on the Style variant as no changes have been made. However, you get new features such as powered front seats and footwell lights and is available on the regular Style variant as well.

Customers will be able to choose from all the existing powertrain options. This includes a 115PS 1-litre and 150PS 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine choice. Here, the former is offered with a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic while the larger unit comes with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

As part of the festive season, Skoda has also reduced the price of the entry-level variant of the Slavia sedan, which now starts from Rs 10.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Furthermore, the Kushaq SUV is also offered with the electric front seats and footwell illumination as part of the update. 

The Skoda Slavia competes with the likes of the Volkswagen Virtus, Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna. Amongst these, the matte paint jobs were only offered with the Virtus from the factory.
