Kia Sonet GTX+ Automatic Prices Out, Cost Rs 90,000 Over Manual Variants


The Sonet turbo petrol automatic variant puts out 120PS, the diesel automatic 115PS

 

  • Both top-spec automatic variants are priced at Rs 12.89 lakh.

  • Both carry a premium of Rs 90,000 over their respective manual versions.

  • The Sonet turbo gets a 7-speed DCT whereas the diesel gets a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

 

Kia has finally revealed prices for the automatic variants of the top-spec GTX+ trim for both the turbo-petrol and diesel powertrains. These were the only variants with undisclosed prices at the time of the Sonet’s launch last week. 

The GTX+ gets a choice of two engines: a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit and a 1.5-litre diesel mill. The auto variant of the GTX+ petrol features a 7-speed DCT gearbox and produces 120PS whereas the diesel one gets a 6-speed torque converter and puts out 115PS, 15PS more than the manual version.

Both the automatic turbo-petrol and diesel variants are priced Rs 90,000 over their respective manual versions, which also share the same price (Rs 11.99 lakh). At Rs 12.89 lakh, the automatic variants of the GTX+ are the most expensive variants of the Sonet.

Launched on September 18, the Sonet is priced from Rs 6.71 lakh to Rs 12.89 lakh (ex-showroom) and competes with its sibling, the Hyundai Venue, along with other sub-4m SUVs such as the Mahindra XUV300, Ford EcoSport, and Tata Nexon.
