BREAKING: Harley-Davidson X 350 Launched In China

Harley’s most affordable bike is quite good looking motorcycle, and packs a decent punch

Harley-Davidson has launched its small-capacity bike, the X 350, in China at a price tag of CNY 33,388 (approximately Rs 3.93 lakh). This bike has been developed in collaboration with Chinese bike maker Qianjiang Motor and dons a sporty roadster design language.

The teardrop-shaped tank gets handsome angular edges that neatly flow into the chiselled tail section. The circular LED headlight and offset single-pod instrument console add a retro touch to the X 350. The illuminated Harley-Davidson logo in the headlight adds to its premiumness.

The Harley-Davidson X 350 is powered by a 353cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor that develops 36.7PS and 31Nm, paired to a six-speed gearbox. The 70.5mm bore and 45.2mm stroke size indicates this motor to be high-revving in nature, which conveys its sporty intentions. That said, the output figures aren’t exactly impressive, considering something like the KTM 390 Duke produces 43.5PS and 37Nm from its single-cylinder engine. The Harley-Davidson X 350 returns a claimed mileage of 20.2kmpl.

Underpinnings on the X 350 include a 41mm upside-down fork offering rebound adjustability, and a monoshock with preload and rebound adjustability. It gets petal disc brakes at both ends with a four-piston caliper up front and single-piston unit at the rear. The X 350 also gets the safety net of dual-channel ABS.

It rolls on 17-inchers wrapped with chunky 120-section front and 160-section rear Pirelli Angel ST rubber. The X 350 gets all-LED lighting, and the instrument console is a semi-digital unit. That said, it does not have smartphone connectivity or turn-by-turn navigation. The bike has a kerb weight of 195kg (hefty for its class), and offers a fuel tank capacity of 13.5 litres. At 817mm, the seat is on the taller side.

The Harley-Davidson X 350 is not expected to be launched in India, as the company is working on a small-capacity motorcycle for the country in collaboration with Hero MotoCorp, based on the latter’s upcoming 400cc platform.
