Kia has launched the subcompact Sonet SUV in a new top-spec X Line trim with sportier aesthetics. The new Sonet X Line is based on the top-spec GTX+ trim level and is offered with both petrol and diesel automatic powertrains.

The new X Line variant is priced at a slight premium of Rs 20,000 over the top-spec Sonet GTX+.
What’s new in the sportier Sonet SUV?
On the outside, the new Sonet X Line sports a matte graphite (grey) paint shade similar to the Seltos X Line. In addition, it gets new gloss-black, 16-inch, crystal-cut alloy wheels, blacked-out trim bits and front grille. At the rear, it gets a dual-tipped exhaust finished in piano black.
Inside, the X Line trim gets a black-themed cabin with leatherette upholstery and orange stitching and X Line logos on the seats.
Apart from these changes, the top-spec Sonet is still a well-equipped subcompact SUV with standard features such as an electric sunroof, 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, a Bose audio system and ventilated seats.
Under the bonnet, the Sonet’s 120PS, 1-litre turbo petrol and 115PS, 1.5-litre diesel engines are unchanged. They are paired with a seven-speed dual clutch and a six-speed torque converter automatic, respectively, on the X Line variant.
