Hyundai India has fully unveiled the Venue N Line and opened pre-launch bookings ahead of its introduction on September 06. The Korean carmaker has also now confirmed that the sportier SUV will be offered in two trims: N6 and N8. While that mimics its hatchback sibling, the i20 N Line, the powertrain options don’t.
The Venue N Line will be powered by the same 120PS, 1-litre turbo-petrol engine. But it’ll just get the 7-speed DCT and not the 6-speed iMT. So if you want to shift gears manually, you’ll have to either settle for the standard Venue Turbo, which gets a 6-speed iMT, or consider the i20 N Line.
The sportier SUV will be the second model under Hyundai’s racier N Line division. Apart from racier looks and a much sportier interior ambience, the Venue N Line will get updates underneath the skin for a more involving drive. So you can expect a stiffer suspension set up, quicker steering rack, and a throatier exhaust note.
The Venue N Line will likely command a premium of around Rs 50,000 over its equivalent standard Turbo variants. Its launch comes right in time ahead of other upcoming sportier sub-4m SUVs such as the Mahindra XUV300 Sportz and Kia Sonet X-Line.
