Another day, another teaser of the upcoming Hero Vida electric scooter. This time the company has confirmed that its upcoming electric scooter will feature a removable battery pack. Furthermore, Hero could also introduce multiple charging solutions.

The teaser image mentions that the e-scooter could be charged at home, in parking lots and public charging stations. It also talks about a modular charging system, which means Vida could give a standard socket for juicing up the batteries at home or offices, while its partnership with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited would be used for fast-charging or even battery swap stations, which is Taiwanese brand Gogoro’s expertise.

Given Hero MotoCorp’s stake in Ather Energy, we wouldn’t be surprised if the upcoming Vida e-scooter also utilises the Bengaluru-based company’s Ather Grid public charging network. With charging solutions this comprehensive, Vida could attract a wide variety of buyers.

After multiple delays, the Hero Vida electric scooter is now all set to launch on October 7. It could be priced around Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom) and could go up against the likes of the Bajaj Chetak and the TVS iQube Electric.
