Kia Motors India is all set to launch the Carnival on February 5 at Auto Expo 2020. It’s Kia’s second product for India after the successful Seltos. The Kia Carnival is a premium MPV which sits above the Innova Crysta. Here’s a closer look at the upcoming MPV in detailed images.

The Carnival’s fascia comes with Kia’s trademark design elements like the ‘tiger nose’ grille, projector headlamps and Ice Cube LED foglamps.

In profile, the Carnival’s silhouette looks like a typical MPV. Other highlights include a shoulder line that runs through the profile.

The Kia Carnival sits on 235/60 R18 10-spoke chrome-plated alloy wheels.

At the rear, highlights include split-LED tail lamps and a thin chrome strip above the number plate housing.

Here’s a closer look at the LED tail lamps in action!

The main highlight of the Carnival is its cabin. You enter the second, third and even the fourth row via these electric sliding rear doors!

It can be had with seven…

eight…

...and even nine seats!

The middle row seats in the Limousine Variant can slide, recline and tumble. It also comes with a manual leg rest function.

The top-spec Limousine variant also comes with 10-inch touchscreen tablets for middle row occupants.

In terms of boot space, the Carnival offers 540 litres of volume with the third row up.

The second row can be folded and…

...stowed down to reveal 1624 litres of boot space!

Moving on to the front, the Carnival comes with a dual-tone, black-beige dashboard.

Here’s a closer look at the central console with the 8-inch infotainment system and tri-zone climate control.

The 8-inch infotainment system comes with Kia’s UVO connected car technology, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and navigation function. Sound is routed through an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.

Other noted features include an electric parking brake, auto-hold function, ventilated seats for the driver, drive modes and…

… a dual panel sunroof!

Powering the Carnival is a BS6-compliant 2.2-litre CRDI engine that develops 200PS and 440Nm. It can only be had with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The Kia Carnival is expected to be priced from Rs 27 lakh (on-road). We recently drove the Carnival in Hyderabad and you can read our review right here. It's closest rival is the Toyota Innova Crysta
