Kawasaki Ninja 500 Teased

Kawasaki India has teased the upcoming Ninja 500 on its social media handles, hinting at the sportbike’s imminent launch in India.

The Ninja 500 is powered by the same 451cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine as the Kawasaki Eliminator, producing a peak output of 45.4PS at 9000rpm and 42.6Nm at 6000rpm. It gets a six-speed gearbox with a slip-and-assist clutch.

The Ninja 500 comes with a 5-inch TFT console as standard that offers smartphone connectivity, and also features keyless ignition. It gets split LED headlights with projectors for the low beam and reflective LED for the high beams, indicators and tail light.

The Kawasaki Ninja 500 is built on a trellis frame. It has a telescopic fork and a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is done via 310mm front and 220mm rear disc brakes with dual-channel ABS. The Ninja 500 rolls on 110-section front and 150-section rear tyres. It has a kerb weight of 172kg and an accessible seat height of 785mm.

The Ninja 500 is expected to make its debut in the Indian market in March 2024 and is likely to be priced at around Rs 5.9 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). It will rival the Aprilia RS 457, Yamaha R3 and RC 390 in the Indian market.
