Everyday 125cc commuters, fire-breathing litre-class superbikes and everything in between
As the Indian motorcycle industry gradually bounces back from the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re slowly starting to see more and more bikes and scooters being launched. The month of August saw quite a few interesting and important launches, and you can check them out here. Now, we turn our attention forwards and bring you all the two-wheeler launches expected in September:
Royal Enfield Meteor 350
Yes, yes, we know. We’ve been putting this bike on every such list since pretty much June. But this time, we have good reason to believe the Meteor really will launch this month. We’ve come across leaked brochure images of the bike showing how many variants and colours will be on offer. The presence of a finalised brochure from the manufacturer indicates the bike will be launched very soon.
Hero XPulse 200T, Xtreme 200S
BMW G 310 Twins
This one's a bit of a no-brainer. We've already seen the bikes testing in India and BMW has even officially opened bookings, so a launch for the G 310 R and G 310 GS is just around the corner. In addition to gaining cleaner-burning motors, we expect them to be endowed with updates like LED lighting, ride-by-wire technology, and perhaps even updated instrumentation.
TVS Victor BS6
Suzuki V-Strom 650XT
Honda CBR1000RR-R
BMW R 18
Ducati Multistrada 950
August saw Ducati bring in its first BS6-compliant bike in the form of the sexy but expensive Panigale V2, and we expect September to be the month when the second one arrives. The model in question is most likely the Multistrada 950, which should arrive at a price point of around Rs 13 lakh.
