The Kia Carnival will soon see a variant rejig. The Korean carmaker will be renaming the existing top-spec Limousine trim to Limousine Plus. The Limousine will still be part of the Carnival’s lineup as a brand new trim that will slot between the second-from-base Prestige and the Limousine Plus.
Take a quick look at the revised variant lineup of the premium MPV:

The Carnival’s new Limousine will be based on the Prestige 7-seater trim and will get four additional features:
-
Leather VIP seats for the middle row
-
8-inch infotainment system with connected car tech
-
Air purifier
-
Rear seat entertainment system
Other features that will be carried over from the Prestige variant include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, three-zone climate control, power-sliding rear doors, a dual-pane sunroof, and a powered tailgate. Passenger safety is taken care of by six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, and hill start assist.
To distinguish the Limousine Plus from the Limousine, Kia will equip the former with new alloy wheels.
No changes will be made to the mechanicals. The Carnival will continue to rely on a 200PS 2.2-litre diesel engine driving the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The Carnival doesn’t have any direct rivals in India. At these prices though, it’s a premium alternative to the Toyota Innova Crysta.
