An India launch is yet to be confirmed, but back at Auto Expo 2023, Kia said it will gauge customer response to see if it can bring the fourth-gen Carnival to our shores

The fourth-gen Kia Carnival is about to get a facelift and the updated model has been spotted testing sans camouflage for the first time. It must be noted that the fourth-gen model was present at the Auto Expo 2023 in India and Kia is gauging customer response to launch it here. And if it comes, we hope it’s the facelifted model you see in this report.

2024 Kia Carnival Facelift: Design Changes

The design revisions made to the Carnival seem to take inspiration from the facelifted Seltos. Up front, you now get vertically stacked LED headlights, with a L-shaped DRL insignia which flows into the grille, which is now a bit squarer and sharper. Other design revisions include new alloys inspired by the EV9 and an updated set of connected LED tail lamps similar to the Seltos. Tweaked bumpers at either end round off the overall design.

2024 Kia Carnival Facelift: Interior And Features

The insides of the 2024 Kia Carnival facelift is yet to be snapped. But we suspect it to be largely similar to the current model, which gets dual integrated screens and multiple colour options. Expect it to be offered in multiple seating options as well. To know more about the Carnival’s interior design and features onboard, check out this report

Internationally, the Carnival is offered with a choice of 3.5-litre V6 engine with an output of 294PS and 355Nm. However, if the model makes its way to our shores, we suspect it to get the outgoing model’s 200PS 2.2-litre diesel engine, teamed with an eight-speed automatic and front-wheel drivetrain.

2024 Kia Carnival Facelift: India Launch?

As mentioned above, Kia said it will gauge customer response and will then give the green light for the fourth-gen Carnival in India. If it comes here, expect it to be priced from around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom), locking horns with the Toyota Innova Hycross.
