The Mahindra Thar’s two-wheel drive variants bought two new colour options – Everest White and Blazing Bronze – limited to this new powertrain option. These shades weren’t offered with the four-wheel drive variants since introduction. That’s about to change though as Mahindra will soon offer the Everest White option with the four-wheel drive variants.Â
The Thar is offered in a total of six colour options: Napoli Black, Red Rage, Galaxy Grey, Aquamarine, Everest White and Blazing Bronze. The last option will be the only one exclusive to two-wheel drive after the introduction of the white hue in four-wheel drive.Â
Apart from this, there won’t be any changes to the Thar. It continues to be offered in two variants – AX Opt and LX – and can be had with either a convertible soft top or a fixed hard top. It comes with three powertrain options: a 1.5-litre diesel, a 2.2-litre diesel and a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine. Detailed specifications have been explained below in this table:

The Mahindra Thar is currently priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 16.49 lakh. It locks horns with the Force Gurkha and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny five-door.
