Green Is The New Orange: KTM Bikes Now BS6.2 Compliant
Thankfully the premium isn’t a dealbreaker
In the wake of the incoming BS6.2 emission norms, KTM India has updated its entire lineup to be OBD2 compliant. However, these greener engines have also resulted in price hikes across the range, meaning you’ll need to pay more “green” to go green.

Fortunately, the price increases aren't substantial enough to negatively influence customers' purchasing decisions, given the highest hike is Rs 3,008 (for the KTM RC 200). While this is a little on the higher side, it is fair given that the new tech allows emission levels to be monitored in real-time, in addition to the performance and versatility the RC 200 offers. The KTM 125 Duke experienced the lowest price increase – of only Rs 851– which is a good move as it is the most affordable bike under the brand's umbrella.
In related news, KTM recently unveiled the 390 Adventure X, an affordable variant of the 390 Adventure. Check out its launch story to know why it costs almost Rs 60K less than the standard variant.
