The Kia EV9 full size electric SUV has been confirmed for an India launch later this year. And ahead of its introduction, we have spotted the full size premium electric SUV on our roads while it’s being tested. When it’s launched here, the EV9, expected to be brought as a fully imported model, will be the most expensive Kia on our shores.
Exterior Design
The Kia EV9 features stylish headlights complemented by intricately designed DRLs, connected via a light bar. As an electric vehicle, it features a grille-free front end, featuring a single air vent positioned lower in the bumper for cooling the components. Its profile boasts a boxy design with flared wheel arches housing distinctive alloy wheels. The rear reveals a sporty spoiler atop a clean, minimalist tailgate, accentuated by L-shaped taillights extending from the top of the C-pillars to the bumper.
Interior Design
Step inside and like other high-end Kias, you get a dual integrated 12.3-inch infotainment and driver's displays. Right below it is a single row of touch buttons for the infotainment touchscreen, while another row of physical buttons resides beneath the air vents, facilitating easy access to the air conditioning controls. The driver also gets a chunky four-spoke steering wheel.
However, the highlight ought to be the three-row layout, which could make this one of the first three-row electric luxury SUVs to be launched in India. To know what features the EV9 comes packing with, head to this report.
