Kia EV9

Features: The Kia EV9 is loaded to the brim with features like a multi-screen panel with integrated 12.3-inch infotainment and driver’s display with a five-inch display at the centre for HVAC controls, an 18-way powered driver seat with memory function, ventilated and heated first and second-row seats, 8-way powered second-row captain seats, massaging function for second-row captain seats, dual sunroof, automatic climate control, wireless phone charging, 14-speaker Meridian sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting and a power tailgate. The safety suite of the SUV features 10 airbags, electronic stability control, hill hold assist, vehicle stability management and level-2 ADAS features. It also boasts a full five-star rating granted by the Euro NCAP.

Motor: The EV9 is equipped with a 99.8 kWh battery pack that powers the dual motors which combinedly churns out 384 PS and 700 Nm. With this battery setup, the car has an ARAI-claimed range of 561 km. Thanks to fast charging capability, a 350 kW charger can juice up the battery from 10-80 per cent in 24 minutes. The SUV can sprint from nought to 100 kmph in just 5.3 seconds. The SUV measures 5015 mm in length, 1980 mm in width and 1780 in height. It sits on a wheelbase of 3100 mm.

Rivals: It doesn’t have any direct rival in India. It can rather be considered as a larger alternative to the BMW iX, Mercedes EQS SUV and Audi Q8 e-tron.

Range: EV9 can go upto 561 km/charge after a full charge.

Charging Time: EV9 battery takes 24Min-(10-80%)-350kW to get charged.

Variants: It is available in a single trim: GT-line AWD. It comes painted in either of the 5 monotone shades: Snow White, Ocean Blue, Pebble Grey, Panthera Metal and Aurora Black. The interior is done in either a white/black or black/brown theme.
